I don't think some Knicks fans and the league understands that Tom Thibodeau could never have done what Mike Brown has done. We won in spite of his [Thibs] coaching, not because of it. Mike Brown's substitutions have been low key the biggest proponent to these wins (e.g. when to get Mitch out, when to sub Shamet for Josh, when to get Brunson rest and stagger it when Wemby's on the bench, putting in Hukporti in this game so that you have a Center to protect the paint) we cannot underestimate how he used his bench.  

Since trading for Randle, we had a "make it to the finals" roster. We didn't have a championship coach that would get us over being a team to just "make it to the finals". To understand the substitutions, to trust your bench, to not punish guys just because they take a bad shot, to communicate like a basketball coach during games with specifics details instead of saying things like "push more, work harder" hustle back"… these are things even I can say. People need other understand how a coach like Mike Brown can come in and bring this team to an NBA Finals is something Thibs could never do.

Absolutely right they never gave up. They stood the whole fourth quarter no matter what happened. It kept cheering and I put pressure on the other team. It’s it speeds them up get your head crazy can’t hear anything. They had a lot to do with the crowd and then the place the Knicks just never stopped and never quit and kept on putting pressure to make all the teams do stupid things or not the smartest things but an unbelievable wind and Mike Brown you crushed it!
