It's hard to win anything of note when a team's best player just doesn't play with any kind of edge or intensity. Fox is a great player and seems to be a good guy off the court but Im not sure he is the killer needed to lead a team deep in the playoffs.

Of course the objective is to win the championship every year. For the Kings, just gaining a post season berth is the objective after over a decade of ineptitude. First round exit or not, this season was a success and a bench mark to identify roster upgrades for contention in the coming years. It's a great time to be a kings fan!

The Spurs aren't getting the first pick. The NBA wants to keep the Spurs on the lottery for many years, then trade their good assets to other teams. The Spurs have become a developmental franchise for players. The Spurs will continue to bend over for the league like the good prostitute organization that it is.

Lmaoo @ everybody’s, “we’re ready for the kings” after a loss to the spurs.

Everybody loses a game or two to lower teams, that doesn’t mean that they are a lesser team at all. Yes the kings give up a lot of points but can score at will too.

Kings can run, kings are deep on the bench, and the kings are well coached.

Don’t Fawken sleep on the kings

Becareful for what you wish for.

The King's definitely should have beaten a short handed Spur's team, but this is the NBA, everybody from 1-12 or 15, is in the League for a reason, and any team is capable of beating any other team, on any given night, player's get hot, or have bad games, and you never know how some games will turn out. Every good team has a few embarrassing losses every year, that they have no business losing, I've been a die hard King's fan since 85, and I have no fantasies that were in the same class as the Bucks, Celtics, Warriors, etc…so these type of losses every now and then don't surprise me, we're an up and coming team, who aren't quite there yet, and still has a ways to go, its been 16 years since we made the playoffs, and have struggled to get much more than 20 wins in those years, so going from that, to sniffing 50 wins, is definitely something to be proud of, but I'll be 100% honest, no matter who we play first round, I don't see us getting to the second round this year, we have absolutely no playoff experience, other than Mike Brown, so were gonna be too green around the ears this time, and are still missing 1 more key player, with size, and who can defend, before we're a real threat, if we can get that guy by next season, and our team will have had 1 full season together, with Mike Brown, we might have a real shot to go deep in the Playoffs next year. As much as I love Keegan Murray, we should have traded up a few spots, and taken Jalen Duran in last year's draft, he would have been the perfect piece in our lineup to play with Sabonis, at either the PF or C spot, he would easily make us a better defensive team, give us size, which we lack, matching up with some teams like Minnesota, and the Bucks, he's a rim protector, great rebounder, and dude is great and scoring inside the paint, he definitely doesn't space out the floor like Murray does, but our defense is our biggest weakness, and we have plenty shooter's and scoring on our team, but Murray keeps getting better and better, and is starting to be our young Klay Thompson.

The Kings had a great season, way better then expected, but their the team every other team wants to play in the 1st rd thou, and that's sad. Every other team coming in is either getting healthy and more dangerous, or just playing better ball as well as being more complete and better experienced, especially playoff experience.

Kings lost to a 19-58 team at home after clinching a playoff berth after a playoff dry spell of 16 years? C'mon man! What is that fishy smell? Something is rotten in Denmark and something is rotten with this Kings loss!! Maybe Mike Brown told the Kings to back off on both offense and defense so his former mentor Popovich could get a win. A head nod from Brown to Pop. There goes any chance the Kings will get a 50 win season.
