It’s unfortunate that Joshua died but Jordan an Nike has nothing to do with the actions of others. They sell shoes they didn’t tell people to kill for the shoes.

Truth be told….you can’t blame Nike. You can’t blame Mike. But after they realized what was going on, they should’ve used that brilliant marketing they so normally do, and created an anti shoe violence campaign. They could’ve changed how releases were done. They could’ve created more shoes and opened up more mom and pop store accounts. It’s a known fact that a strategy is to limit availability to grow the hunger for the item. It works. But when you start having deadly results, you have to re-think the strategy. There were definitely ways to avoid this…BUT…for example:a car, the Yugo had seatbelt issues and would be sued for millions each year. But,it was cheaper to keep the seatbelt issues instead of fix it…compared to sales.

Jordan built Nike basketball. The company was fortunate enough to spot talent and sign him before others did

And now Nike has over 80% of basketball shoes market share. Nearly 11% of ALL shoe sales. ALL shoes.

Ya know this P.O. Sh..! at 45:59 is the reason there’s racism! I’m 48 yrs old & I grew up in this era! When Michael Jordan arrived & his sneakers became larger than life, not once did I ever look at him & think about his skin color! I just looked at him as a man, a man that was awesome at a sport & I loved his shoes! I still do, I still buy every new Jordan 1, unless it’s something I really don’t like, which is unusual! I buy a lot of other Jordan’s as well, mostly special sneakers, like the play off 13’s, but always the 1’s! I have the new Skyline 1’s on there way! I got the Laneys a month or two ago & I got the lost & found Chicago’s when they came out! I’m 48 & I’m still that much of a fan because he’s a great man! Not everyone sees skin color like you do…!

In FACT it's unspoken that even deaths are marketing.
    Let's face this people.
    This IS the Devils world!
MJ, Nike an the folks killed are ALL pawns in this game.
    Right side of history alright.

ONE LAST IMPORTANT DETAIL: NIKE WAS UNANIMOUSLY A WHITE COMPANY FOR THE AVERAGE WHITE RUNNER. AROUND THOSE TIMES, WHITE TEENS AND CHILDREN WERE NOT INTO FASHION OR SNEAKER FASHION. WHITE TEENS WOULD WEAR A PAIR OF NIKES, DIRTY AND OLD, FOR 2 YEARS OR MORE. THEY WOULD TIE THEM UP TIGHT AND JUST FEEL COMFORTABLE. SORT OF LIKE THE IMAGE ON BACK TO THE FUTURE PART 1.

BASICALLY MICHAEL WAS USED TO BECOME THE NEXT "JESUS", WITHIN THE BLACK INNER CITY MONEY FLOW. THATS WHY NIKE HANDLED HIM THAT WAY.

HERE IS THE REAL TRUTH. NIKE FAILED AT THE URBAN OR HIP HOP CULTURE SNEAKER WARS. SONNY COULD NOT COMPETE AND NEITHER COULD A VERY EXPENSIVE SNEAKER LIKE…AIR JORDANS. ADIDAS WAS KICKING ASS AND SO WAS PUMA. REEBOK MADE ITS ENTRY AND BEFORE YOU KNEW IT, WE HAD ELLESSE, DIADORRA, FILA, SPOT BILT, K-SWISS, BENETTON, ETC. CONVERSE RULED THE HARDWOOD. THIS IS WHY NIKE LATER PURCHASED CONVERSE…..TO KILL IT. EVEN JORDAN WANTED ADIDAS. ADIDAS WAS SAVING ITS BANK FOR..PATRICK EWING. ONE THING NIKE DID WIN IN…..THEY FAILED WITHIN THE HIP-HOP CULTURES INTEREST. ADIDAS WAS RAPPED ABOUT BY RUN DMC AND BOTH PUMA AND ADIDAS BECAME THE BLACK CULTURES GO-TO ATTIRE OR CHOICE FOR FASHION. EVEN SHAFT WORE ADIDAS. NIKE , HOWEVER, WAS HUMBLE AND HONEST. THEY KEPT THEIR BRAND…"ATHLETIC". GEORGE GERVIN HELPED SALE NIKE, AND JORDANS (NO ONE REALLY KNEW WHO MICHEAL WAS) JUST COULD NOT COMPETE WITH THE HIP-HOP CULTURE.NIKE COULD NOT COMPETE UNTIL…BOO JACKSON AND ANDRE AGASSI CAME ALONG. NIKE WANTED THAT BLACK INNER CITY MONEY. NIKE ALSO HIRED NEW DESIGNERS. NIKE STARTED TO TAKE OFF WHEN THEY RELEASED SNEAKERS PRIMARILY FOR WOMEN (LILAC, SKY BLUE, ETC). I CALLED THEM THE NIKE TOFFEE SNEAKERS. NIKE WAS STILL CONCERNED ABOUT THE INNER CITY BLACK MONEY. THIS IS WHEN THEY TURNED THE AIR JORDAN IMAGE INTO STREET CULTURE OR THE HIPHOP CULTURE. THEY HIRED…MARS BLACKMON….AKA SPIKE LEE. THE REST IS HIS STORY!!!! THE THIRD PAIR OF JORDANS WAS THE MARS BLACKMON ERA, THOSE SNEAKERS RESEMBLED A BOO JACKSON AND ANDRE AGASSI IMAGE.

No Matter What It’s Not Nike or Air Jordan Fault… It’s The Murderers Fault, The Robber, The Thieves. Any Person Who Buys Shoes Has The Right To Make It Home and Be Able To Wear Those Shoes. People Are Not Supposed To Murder, Rob or Steal Those Shoes. What Needs To Be Done Is Harsher Punishment For Perpetrators and Then They’ll Say “Wait If I Steal These I’ll Get 10-20 Years In Prison So Nah I’m Not Gonna Do It Anymore Because It’s Not Worth It”. Be Blessed
