Looks like there is no such thing as a World Series hangover as far as the Astros are concerned. Air Yordan and King Tuck dominated at the plate as usual, and while Framber did have some control issues, he was nonetheless solid on the mound.

Yordan tenias que estar despegado de segunda base y tuvieras quieto en tercera. Pero buen bateo tengo mucha fe que llegaras a HOF.

Roansy Contreras was hitting 98 and 99 in his 1st Major League game. The drop in velocity is concerning

Great trade Giants….dump Dubon for a backup catcher you designated a week later. You can always get rid if guys like that for fringe players. But wait….is that a RING on Dubie's hand???

I wonder if any of the books took any action on Choi hitting that homerun?

I'm curious if Julks will be that guy the Astros pull out of nowhere that becomes a big part of the season

Jeremy Peña and the Houston Astros wins over Brian Reynolds and the Pittsburgh Pirates to walking the plank.

tbh the Astros just found holes. Pirates relievers looked good, and we scored two runs on a really good pitcher. roansy will bounce back. We’ll win at least one in the series

Where's that guy who's been ragging on Dusty Baker for starting Dubon and Maldonado?

We got another win with both in the starting lineup, and Dubon is hitting over .300.

Maybe he finally realized that Dusty might know what he's doing?

Yordan was a beast Tucker continues to hit the ball at a consistent rate and the bottom of the lineup I will give credit they produced tonight Dubon and Julks were huge for us. The bats came alive for us tonight and Framber pitched a pretty good game.

All in all nice start to the series and let’s try to win it with Javier on the mound tomorrow

It's great to see the bottom of the line-up guys on fire and getting on base. That can only be good news when the top of the line-up starts finding their groove, as it appears to be happening. Bregman might not be getting some hits but he's drawing those walks and setting up Air Yordan and King Tuck. Framber had some control issues but he was still solid and the defense backed him up. Let's keep this groove going, lads. GO STROS!!

I'm glad our entire batting lineup is finally hitting. Framber pitched good today and Tuck had some really good hits and almost hit a grand slam. I hope the Astros can continue to play like this without Altuve and Brantley
