Jalen Brunson Drops 30 in Historic NBA Finals Debut 🤯 | June 3, 2026

Jalen Brunson delivered a historic NBA Finals debut, leading the New York Knicks to a thrilling Game 1 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Brunson finished with 30 points, the second-most ever by a Knicks player in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, trailing only Willis Reed’s 37-point performance.

In the fourth quarter, Brunson and OG Anunoby took over. Brunson scored 13 points and Anunoby added 12 as the duo combined for 25 points — outscoring the entire Spurs team, which scored 21 points in the period.

The Knicks closed the game on an 11-0 run to steal Game 1 on the road and extend their winning streak to 12 consecutive playoff games.

With the victory, New York tied the 1999 Spurs for the second-longest winning streak within a single postseason in NBA history.

Only the 2017 Warriors (15) have won more consecutive games in a single postseason.

  1. Some of these shots are insane. Top notch defense, much bigger defender…but brunson is pure skill and heart

  2. Brunson is a smaller Michael Jordan that plays closer to the ground. He’s got the same will to win and the ability to take over games in the 4th quarter that cannot be taught! His game isn’t as beautiful as MJ’s but the way he handles pressure and creates whatever angle is needed for his shot to go in is spellbinding!

  3. Seen the caption and was just curious, in what way was this historic? No shade, I just must be oblivious. Im not a fan of either team but liked the performance.

  4. This is wild. 2 national championships, 1 player of the year, and about to get a chip all with his Nova boys. In America’s most entertaining city haha.

  5. Brunson has so many moves and counters off of those moves that’s it’s hard for defenders to figure out what move he’s gonna do

  6. Im really not much of a NBA fan but I was so impressed by Action Brunson last night. What a badass.

  7. Do haters see the difference between him and the foul merchant SGA yet??

    These are actual basketball moves.

  8. He win the chip you gotta put him over Clyde Frazier,as the greatest knick 💯

Interviewer said “you looked banged up in the 1st and 2nd quarter how’s your body feeling rn?”

Jalen said nonchalantly “I’ll be alright”
