I was in the sixth grade the last time the Knicks went to the NBA finals. I remember watching these games with my parents, rest in peace. I have heard Mike Green for not days, weeks, months, years, but decades scream, bang for different teams when they won in the finals. I need to hear him do the same for the Knicks this season.

Alan Houston pre-injury 1999 2000 2001 2002 better than Ray Allen and Reggie Miller and Paul Pierce. If not for his injury he would've been HOF.

That season is when I fell in love with the Knicks as a NYer and became a die hard fan as I was then old enough to understand basketball.

So many individual talents on this Knicks team: Ewing, Houston, Sprewell, Johnson all all-stars. Camby was such a force of energy that year. Then the PG duo of Childs and Ward being so solid. Several stars, but they all managed to share and spread the wealth when it came to taking over games. It seemed every game someone different was the difference-maker. The could have and almost did take game 5 against the Spurs. If Ewing were healthy, he would have been a major factor against Duncan and maybe they would have actually had a chance.

I was 9 years old during this run. Didn’t watch basketball at all. For some reason I did not like the Knicks but now I know why, those jerseys were disgusting 😂 😂 😂

Ewing would appear in the NBA finals again in 1999 but would not play due to injuries, however his efforts in the playoffs is what helped them reach this far.
