Mac McClung 76ers Highlights Vs Nets (20 pts, 9 assists, 9 Rebs)

Written by admin. Posted in Blog

Amazing game for Mac as he flirted with a 20 point triple double. He tied for the team lead in scoring, lead the team in assists with 9 and just 1 turnover and was 2nd on the team in rebounding. The crazy thing is that he missed a bunch of shots he normally makes, had he made a few of those and played a couple more minutes this could’ve been a 30 point triple double. Oh, and he lead the team with a +29

As well as he played, the the thing I liked best was that not only did he not look like a negative on the floor defensively, he actually looked like a net positive. Everyone knows he can score at the next level, but it’s his perceived lack of defense keeping him out of the league. Overall, great way to end an amazing season… dunk champ, G League champ, and player of the game in the final regular season game for the 76ers. Hopefully his body of work these last 2 seasons can get him a full NBA contract next season.

He is fast with a great drive, his vertical is beyond impressive, has a high three percentage, great passing sence, average height for a PG but well built no easy injuries as oppossed to a lot of other modern players. Mac is a threat all around, he can do a fast drive to penetrate to the paint a three even a dunk. Because of that he is also valuable as a decoy. Mac has great work ethic and attitude. He has more potential than most of the overhyped players like Ben Simmons.

How he wasn't on an active roster before now is absurd.

His haters are are just hoping he doesn’t get another game in 😂 Mcclung would damn near average a triple every game if he got the minutes. His assists would never come easier, barley anyone plays d when driving to the hoop because the refs are so soft, and he surprisingly get rebounds. This is just one game for most people, but those that have watched him play the last 2 years have already seen this. The gleague is made up of a lot of guys that played in the NBA playoffs, even championships , first round and second round picks, it’s a mix bag of talent but people don’t put enough respect to the GLeague.

Mac has played four games in the NBA and has made five three-pointers.
Ben Simmons has played 317 games in the NBA and has made five three-pointers. Unbelievable!

i heard since mac didnt really fit a 1 or 2, nba had hard time. 7 footers are bringing the ball up and shooting 3s. why concerned with unconventional mac?

Mac is scrappy. Offense can't relax around him. You can't outpace him. People forget that he has the fastest sprint in the NBA.

NBA competition is weak. McClunk also had a triple double. Imagine MJ playing today that’s an easy 42 ppg, 8 assists, 8 reb, on the season.

Mac's style of play makes him vulnerable to injury, but providing he stays healthy, this kid has all the attributes for a very successful NBA career.

love mac's drive, but he looks tiny out there. it's hard to get playing time in the nba when you're small and have below average ability.

Every team needs some glue to do the basics and hold the team together. I see a lot of fight in the bloke.
